Floral design seem to follow fashion trends. For 2008 the trend is bighter and greener and the hottest floral designs are coming from Europe. The two floral trends that dominate today are sublime simplicity & extreme combination.

Sublime simplicity is soothing, subtle, calm and pretty. This trend features a single color combination of flowers. The design evolves around shapes and textures.

Extreme combination is energizing, bright, shiny, chaotic and high contrast. This tend mixes different colored flowers to create energy using a single color in a high contrast setting.

Most floral designs are about balance, form and texture. Other designs are simple and more natural looking.
